​The site at Adebday Township was found due to a BBC report that stated:  

  

"On the morning of 10 April (2020), the Amhara militias dug up the four mass graves in the St Abune Argawi church"... "There were 150 bodies of civilians killed in the August wave of ethnic cleansing.”
